Alvin Gomez

Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Alvin has always been in love with the power of movement. Coming from an athletic background he initially found the practice of yoga as a way to complement all his sports activities. What started out as a purely physical practise eventually evolved into a spiritual one when he realized that the practice could help him navigate and lead a way of life that truly resonates with his soul. He brings in his experiences in life to his teachings and likes to let the students flow placing high emphasis on safe alignment at the same time moving with the breath.

Born and raised in Lombok, Anton started his dedicated Yoga Practice when he began working for Mana Retreat in 2014. He is known as the strong and bendable yogi on the mat. His amazing body awareness, his kindness and his attention for every student makes Anton a naturally talented and dedicated teacher. Anton`s classes are uplifting and offer something to students of every level.

i was there for the 200h YTT and everything was perfect. The place is very beautiful and with all the comfortable things we could need. The pools are always fresh for the hot days, everything is always clean, and the food of the restaurant is so yummy!!! i miss the coconut coffees and the chocolate bliss balls!! the yoga studio has everything we need plus the views are very pretty. the teachers and the yoga classes that they offer are the best. The quality of the class it's amazing but the teachers are what i liked the most. Always there for us, kind and smily and i never felt alone. The stuff was always very nice. They were always asking that everything was ok, helping in everything you could need even after my stance there. I can just be grateful and impatient to go back again 🙂

My husband and I have just spent 3 nights unwinding at this divine retreat. It is a real sanctuary centrally located in Kuta Lombok. We stayed in a cabana, special thanks to the kindness and consideration of management. The room was beautiful, bed was super comfortable, air con worked well, has a great outdoor bathroom and a nice verandah looking over the pool. Everything was well maintained. Staff are really pleasant, breakfast was good and although there is a great menu for lunch and dinner, Mana is an easy walk into the main Kuta precinct where there are plenty of dining options. We did yoga classes with Anton and Kate, both are wonderful instructors and we’ve left feeling a lot looser. The only negative that I would mention is that smoking is permitted at Mana, in the dining/cafe space, it just seems ironic that a facility with an overall emphasis on health and well being would allow such a known health risk. We don’t smoke and prefer not to inhale passive smoke either. Apart from this our stay at Mana Yoga Retreat was just what we needed, pure relaxation, a perfect way to start our holiday.
While you're super close to the relative business of the main Kuta thoroughfare, you'll encounter absolute bliss when entering Mana Retreat. Somehow it feels removed from the rest of the area and totally like it's own little oasis. The two pools are both lovely and all the beautiful tropical plants really add to the atmosphere. The bungalows are stylish and fit in perfectly. And the restaurant serves up some of the best vegan fare in Kuta along with the best smoothie bowls.
We stayed at Mana Retreat for two nights and really enjoyed the laid-back vibes. Everything is so beautifully decorated and the garden with the two pools is just amazing. There are yoga classes and movie nights every day. Staff is super friendly and even if you don't stay here, you should come for the vegan food! The fruit smoothie bowl and the vegan pesto pasta were sooo good. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

it's amazing place for yoga lovers. Professional teachers is all we are looking for choosing yoga retreat. Plant based breakfast is just amazing - great smoothie bowls, good coffee and lot's of fruits. Spa is a must have - especially massage, facial and body scrub. You can feel 2 years old less after 2 hours in spa 🙂 We stayed at the cabana and it's really comfy, we loved our outside bathroom and surroundings. We love the cinema and the whole atmosphere. Everything is clean, well organised. Friendly and always ready to help personel. Good location, close to the beach, surfing spots and Kuta town. Highly recommend!
